The aluminium caps (pilfers) are used to seal threaded glass and plastic (PE) bottles. These products, made of aluminium alloy sheets by way of deep drawing, are equipped with flexible sealing that provide tight closing.

The process of the pilfer production can be divided into three main steps:
- The preparation of the sheets (cutting, lubricating)
- The forming of metal dishes (cutting, deep drawing)
- The forming of the cut (ribbing) sealing

Raw material:
The raw material of the products, the 0,22 mm thick aluminium sheets are transferred to the production plant after they have been printed and varnished.

The sealing compound can vary, depending on the requirements of closing:
- for so-called still drinks (alcohool bottles with no interior pressure) small plates made of polythene foam sheets are used
  - for drinks with over pressure in the bottle, sealing profiles made of polythene granulate is used.  

The varnish on the surfaceof the cap and the sealing compounds do not contain any materials hazardous to the health. This is supported by the tests of OETI, the National Institute of Food Hygiene and Nourishment.
